In the cards

Watch as this master card blaster slices olives and does other amazing stuff by throwing playing cards ninja-style.

And was it incredible coincidence, divine karma, or just plain good luck? Any which way you see it, these people were in the right place at the right time.

Happy little trees

A match made in heaven... thankfully the folks at Chia HQ wised up, embraced the obvious, and created a Bob Ross Chia Pet.

All they need is sunlight, water, and some serious attitude -- check out these badass trees that refused to quit, no matter what.

Wheels down

Proof positive that you shouldn't look at your phone while driving... watch this imbecile ride his scooter into a giant sinkhole, luckily captured on CCTV as a pungent reminder.

And if you're going to get something indelibly printed on your body, it might as well be something like this trucker's tattoo that makes him look like you're a tiny person driving another human(oid).

Gripping drama

Maybe inspired by this fellow's successful try, a brave man one-ups him with his own attempt to punch a bear trap before it closes on his arm. Maybe next time he should try headbutting it to make sure he doesn't injure anything important.

Loco motive

Ain't no stoppin' it, apparently... watch this train plows into a candy-carrying semi that got stuck on the tracks.

And a timelapse turns LA's (in)famed traffic into a thing of beauty. The energy of the music makes this one a refreshing departure from the usual ethereal new-age-y stuff, and feels like the heart of the city is pumping cars through those arteries.

Alter egos

Infant meets his new American god in the form of a smartphone, which exudes the power of instant pacification, else rage when taken away. (Warning: Contains some intense baby-crying noises.)

And the images you get from the likes of Shutterstock or Getty are typically cheesy, staged photos featuring generic-looking people pretending to do generic stuff. But take note -- there's also a dark side of stock photography...
