Tag 'em and bag on 'em

Hey there,

Hope you had a good Memorial weekend and took some time to reflect in and amongst the barbequing and whatnot. In just the opposite of thoughtful reflection, this website has you type in the first word you think of when looking at an image of a celebrity, and see what other people thought, displayed in tag cloud style. The internet's judgment is amusingly harsh and will probably have much more harshness to spare if they add a few more photos. No doubt, people can't get enough and will be crying for more.

The Quest for Every Beard Type
This guy has been growing a beard every winter for some years now, and every spring, he has a little fun with it and attempts as many facial hair variations as he can check off his list.

Disrobed by Backhoe
This is pretty much a construction worker's dream -- guy uses a giant mechanical shovel to slowly (and carefully, I might add) remove a woman's clothes on an Italian TV show. Next up -- the forklift diaper-changing...??? (Thanks G)

Shampoo ads for men
Those ridiculous commercials equating hair washing with a certain kind of exuberance, now remade for men. The guy's performance really lifts an idea that on paper, anyway, seems not even vaguely amusing.

Mobile phones have come a long, long way
With all the time you spend with that sleek and tiny cell phone, you may have forgotten the early days of lugging a two-pound battery pack and holding a brick to your face. This brief video morphing montage takes you on a nostalgic trip back to the early days of cell phones, starting from 1985 (a Motorola DynaTAC) and making its way to modern day and even a glimpse into the future.

Hola,

How good is your imagination? Ever consider going on a picnic with Yogi Bear, or sailing with Popeye, or play catch with Charlie Brown? Me neither. Now maybe it's just me, but some of these cartoon characters come to life are pretty creepy.

not normal

Shalom,

Another week almost down the drain, but worth checking out for at least a minute is this new short film by Blu (?), an ambiguous animation painted on public walls in Buenos Aires. You're at the beginning. Very ambiguous.

Who doesn't love a massage chair? These vibrating wonders provide relaxation and stress relief while you watch your favorite TV show. Apply as needed

Aloha Friday,

Spring is in the air, and apparently it's college visit time. There's nothing harder for a moody, hormone-addled 17-year-old than making a smart college decision, but our friends at (where else?) College Humor are here with a welcome dose of honesty: a straight-from-the-heart ad for Quendelton State University. Finally, a college ad that tells it like it is from the school that US News & World Report once called "...adequate..."

Have you considered Quendelton State University...?
