Fast food flambe

Dashcam footage from a quick-thinking police officer saving a Jack-in-the-Box from a cooking fate worse than its food.

And probably unrelated to the incident, there's a Google Docs spreadsheet where people are posting texts they want to send their exes.

It's all in the reflexes

Jesus saves baby at ifly

Quick-acting employee saves toddler from head-plant, and saves distracted father's bacon.

And this eyeless, brainless, scary-ass worm that snatches its dinner from a hole in the ocean floor could bill itself as nature's death trap.

Mind over matter

Smartass

Brainy burro takes the old "work smarter, not harder" saying to heart; and with manners to boot.

And some say you eat with your eyes first. So an enterprising student did an experiment to see if sight affected taste, concocting these appetizing poop-shaped brownies. The nuts and caramel sauce are a nice touch.
My Daughters Science Project.  She wanted to see if sight effected taste.

Slapstick shot

No matter how good you think you are at ping pong, you'll marvel at this compilation of table tennis trick shots that both amazes and entertains with a healthy helping of humor. (They've also got a Vine account where all their tricks and skits are posted.)

Swing of things

Why not a working Whac-a-Mole game made from Legos to get out all your frustrations? And it even keeps score.

And a Newton's Cradle made from light bulbs might bring perpetual motion, as long as they don't break.

Glowing reviews

Kayakers covered with LED lights paddling down a waterfall in the pitch dark make for a very cool effect on film.

Locking horns

In Anchorage, Alaska, a couple of moose duke it out in the front yard of a random suburban house.

And while antlers with laser beams would be a step up, you'll have to settle for a 100,000-RPM top with razor blades and seeing what it can destroy.

Errant boy

This might look like a chase scene from an action movie, but it's just a lunatic on a scooter provoking traffic accidents and near-death experiences.

And 30 minutes of morning arrivals -- "rush hour" at London's Heathrow Airport -- amounts to a plane landing every other minute.

The persistence of imagery

I don't know if this fellow's idea for a tattoo is worthy of permanence, this line of animated figures that turns him into a living zoetrope when he spins around.

And the Sun, a tree, and a garage door conspire to make cool pareidolia.
The garage door is staring at me

Dark forces

Harness the power of static electricity to levitate objects, bend water, and other fun tricks that may get you burned at the stake.

And why spend all that dough on a pair of Nike HyperAdapt when you can make your own self-lacing shoes with -- you guessed it -- Legos.

Flipoholic

Unstoppable loony hamster does backflip after backflip for no apparent reason while his friends pay him no mind.

And whatever he's thinking might be explained in this video from The School of Life about the German knack for coming up with nifty-isms that condense a hard-to-pin-down feeling into a single word.

Winter wonder walk

Check out how you can trek across the crystal-clear transparent ice on Lake Silvaplana in Switzerland and see all the way through to the lakebed.

And this is quite a sight -- a man with small dogs in his pockets out for a walk with his duck, which by the way is wearing shoes. (The man is wearing flip-flops.)

Workaround

Guy rushes to open gate for firefighters as wind rises a forest fire in Chile

Frantic man battles valiantly to break through a padlocked gate, but firefighters somehow manage to find another way to get past it. Kind of reminiscent of this blocking measure...

Gifception

Slightly mindbending, this guy recursively made a flip book of a GIF of him flipping through a GIF that he printed into a flip book. Watch and it will make more sense. [Gizmodo]

Duel purpose

Mortars at midnight, just a couple of guys celebrating Chinese New Year with a Harry Potter-like fireworks fight in the middle of an empty street.

And the grand finale of man + sodium metal vs. toilet is likewise impressively explosive.
