Zen tech

Happy Monday,

Hope you had a good weekend. The Soulja Boy spoof pipeline continues to flow, and with the recent news that Buddhist monks have turning to rap music to boost recruitment, Fark TV gives us "Lama Boy". Replete with dope sand painting, ill Chinese oppression, and some fresh hoe work (tha'be the agricultural kind, yo). Duffers and/or Bill Murray buffs will appreciate the "Caddyshack" allusion at the end.

19th-century drive-by
Yo yo yo. What art thou doing? Honestly? We have no idea what this short film loop is about but it's classic slapstick.

Being a speed camera is no easy life
Who would want to have the life of a speed camera? Exposed to the weather, day and night, alone, no friends... Sounds like a harsh life. But as if it weren't enough, the poor creatures are also likely to be destroyed.

Vintage retro-future visions
And finally, the start of a new collection of inspiring and hard-to-find retro-futuristic graphics. Staying away from the well-known American pulp and book cover illustrations, they instead opted for the artwork from rather unlikely sources: Soviet and Eastern Bloc "popular tech & science" magazines, among others -- all from the Golden Age of Retro-Future (from the 1930s to the 70s).

Have a good week.
